Christmas is a season of fun, laughter and celebrations. Itis that time of the year, when everyone gets busy planning and preparing feasty get-togethers with their friends & family. And, when it comes to work places, they are no different in this matter. Most of the firms/companies throw corporate parties or gatherings to de-stress and enjoy this wonderful festive season. But what happens when a culinary school decides to join the festive spirits where food and gatherings happen every fortnight?
We all know that festive seasons are all about caring, sharing and giving. And, that is exactly how our chef instructorsdecided to celebrate Christmas at work this year. Instead of one, they all came together to celebrate the ICCA tradition of preparing for 12 days of Christmas festive dinner menus for our viewers to help them learn Christmas special recipes done by ICCA Chefs on this joyful occasion.
The chefs from all the respective departments chose their festive favourites to showcase the best of their recipes for the 12 days of celebrations that have been streaming from the 13th of December to the 24th.
It started with Chef Aziz’s Corn Bread recipe and was followed by Chef Vinod’s Pumpkin Cappellacci soup & Fennel scented scallops, festive drinks by our Barista instructor Sam, Chestnut Soup & Sour Roast Beef with Spaetzle by Chef Daniel, Shrimp Cocktail, Seared Tuna and Minced Meat Pie by Chef Ashwini, Turkey and accompaniments by Chef Marco & Chef Francois, ending by Christmas cake decoration techniques by Chef Nasarene, our Sugarcraft instructor.
The festive dinner menu preparations and the shoot continued till yesterday, and for us, the whole of December felt like more than a celebration. And during this time, we spent most of our days in the kitchen doing the shoot which not only gave us a better insight into a Chef’s life but we also got to bond with them a little bit more than usual. After all, isn’t that the whole point of celebrating such a wonderful season with your colleagues?
