Date and Walnut cake

Baking Temp: 160C for total 45 min

Portion size: 3 LOAF TINS


  1. Dark brown sugar           330gm
  2. Whole Eggs                      4 pcs
  3. Flour                                  220 gm
  4. Baking Soda                     1 tsp
  5. Boiling Water                  360 gm
  6. Chopped Dates               280 gm
  7. Butter                               100 gm
  8. Walnuts chopped           80 gm

Method of Cookery

  • Place chopped dates, baking soda, sugar and butter in a mixing bowl
  • Pour boiling water over it, and let it stand for15 min
  • Add flour,eggs and walnuts  to the mix and pour it into the rings\
  • Bake 160C for 30 minutes

She has taken challenges and opportunities as they came, moving from the Jumeirah Group to the Dusit Thani and then to The Palace Down Town, where she worked as the Head Pastry Chef, making the hotel a famous F&B offering in Dubai. In her journey as a Pastry Chef she has traveled to Switzerland and Malaysia, to work with world class master-chefs.
