Fresh Out of the Oven

Coming home to the whiff of freshly baked goodies is something that brings an easy smile to anyone’s face. It could be a lovely cake, some crunchy & chewy cookies or even a simple loaf of bread. No matter what or how simple it is, the moment the baking process begins the whole house starts to smell irresistibly tempting, leaving us to do nothing but to crave for the goodies.

The good thing about the smell of baking is that it invokes good feelings in our mind.  It sometimes takes you back to the nostalgic taste of childhood, it alters your mood, it wakes up your happy hormones, it gives you an appetite and a very comforting & cozy feeling on a cold rainy day. I would say it is more like therapy.

As we know, baking is one of the most fundamental forms of cookery and bread has been a popular staple food for millennia, for many. Over the past few years, we have seen massive growth in the popularity of home baking. Wonder why the sudden popularity, even when we lead a very busy lifestyle? Why go through all the hassle of sieving, mixing and whipping when we have everything handy?

Nowadays, people prefer to bake their own goodies whether it’s for an occasion or for daily use.  Everyone seems to love the idea of making bread or other goodies at home for their family, mainly because it’s more nutritious, there is a relief of knowing what exactly goes in it, and there is always a warmth of care in homemade goods. Moreover, the vogue for home baking has undoubtedly been helped by easy to use home baking products and equipment as well.

After all this, if you still think it is too much to bake at home, then you have to try it at least once before coming to a conclusion. I am sure you will change your mind when you see the results.

I mean, who wouldn’t agree to a soft and fluffy homemade loaf of bread fresh out of the oven? If you ask me, I don’t think I would even need any accompaniment to gorge on to a slice of that simple yet yummy fresh loaf of goodness.

And, above all the joy of successfully baking your own bread at home is an experience not to be missed.
