ICCA Dubai – Industry Internship/Work Experience Placement Program (IWEP)

Landing the perfect job at the beginning of your career can take your career graph to greater heights in the future. However, for a fresh graduate to get the right opportunity to give that boost to his/her career plans is not as easy as it might seem to be. As a new graduate, your level of experience in the industry is not competitive enough for you to approach a potential employer all by yourself, and the chances of you getting noticed as a potential candidate are quite thin. This is where the work placement comes to play a significant role in launching your career.

At ICCA, the Industry Internship/Work Experience Placement Program (IWEP) prepares the students to transit smoothly from the school atmosphere to the industrial work environment. One of the main advantages of being a part of the ICCA IWEP program is that the school has tie-ups with all the major accounts in the industry such as Atlantis, Marriot Group, Palazzo Versace, Hilton and Grand Hyatt to name a few, which makes it easier for the students to get their first break in their culinary career.

In this program, job opportunities are arranged for the students, so that their focus solely remains on developing their skill sets and personality to land a job.  The program is designed in such a way that it not only helps the students to launch their career but also guides them in personality development, communication skills, and interview skills along with some NLP training given by a certified Soft-Skill and NLP trainer.

NLP training or Neuro-Linguistic Programming is a set of tools and techniques that help you adjust your mental conditioning, change your thoughts, and shift your emotions to a more motivated state so that you are able to perform better to get the results that you want.

As part of the IWEP, the students go through some externship programs as well, where they get a chance to work in any of the significant properties of the region for a few days varying from a minimum of 3 to a maximum of10 days to get the exposure of working in a real kitchen while they are still in the culinary school.

IWEP is here to make sure that besides the world-class culinary education that ICCA provides, our students also get a chance to work on themselves along with the hands-on experience training in the industry they aim to work and make their careers in.
