As the festival of good food, drinks and music entertained the capital with a fun & flavourful weekend, ICCA had some serious yet exciting teamwork going on at the Taste of AbuDhabi (TOA) event, making it even more fun & easier for the visitors and the participating chefs.
Under the captaincy of our own chef instructors Aziz Rajab, Daniel Hiltbrunner and Marco Morana, our students managed to have a smooth sail throughout the three days world-class food festival.
The event has always been a boon to ICCA students as not only do they get to meet and interact with some of the prominent culinary figures of the industry but they are also given the opportunity to assist and work with them. To name a few, the chefs in action this time included Jenny Morris, Ed Baines, Joshua Stanzl, Mohammed Orfali, Tarek Ibrahim, Simon Martin and Sanjeev Kapoor among the others.
Although TOA in itself is a great platform for the budding chefs, this time it turned out to be even more special for our students. It being the venue for ‘Taste the World’ with Etihad Airways, our students got the wonderful opportunity to meet and work with some of the best chefs from around the world which was definitely an added advantage for them. Best of the best chefs from across the globe were flown down to Abu Dhabi to participate in this competition where ICCA students were the ones to assist them with their preps for the show gaining some good exposure.
Needless to say, the experience and exposure that the students achieved at such a budding stage of their career are highly valuable and incomparable in the days to come.
TOA has always been a family affair to Team ICCA which followed to be the same this time as well, showcasing some excellent teamwork. On this note, we would like to say cheers to the whole of Team ICCA and our energy boosters, and the power packed ICCA students who made sure ICCA keeps glowing in its own glory.
