The After – Taste of Dubai

As the Taste of Dubai 2016, finished on a very flavourful note, we at ICCA Dubai wound-up things at the event with a mission accomplished content mind. While the whole city immersed itself in the three days of Good Food, Drink and Music festival, the event was hands full for Team ICCA with the many features added this year.

While the ICCA Chef Instructors were busy managing the many features and doing their own demos as well, the Student Chefs were all busy supporting the various features, working with the Michelin star celebrity chefs and interacting with the scores of enthusiastic guests who participated in the various Master class sessions.

The experience, exposure, and the appreciations through this event was some thing unimaginable and priceless as far as the Students were concerned.

The five main Features in the event The Chef’s Theatre, Cooking Challenge, Chef’s Secret, Secret Ingredient and Electrolux VIP Hospitality were all managed and run by the ICCA Chef instructors and Students Chefs, assigned to each of these features and got the opportunity to work with a star studded lineup of Michelin star chefs such as Alfred Prasad, Nathan Outlaw, Atul Kochhar, Luke Thomas, Tom Aikens, Jun Tanaka, and many more Celebrity chefs such as Jenny Morris, Reza Mahammed and Paul Frangie. The demos performed by all these internationally acclaimed Chefs gave our students a chance to get to know and learn more about Culinary, from their styles of working.

For us, Taste of Dubai turned out to become Taste ICCA, a complete ICCA family affair. While all our current students were a part of the various features, then the ICCA Alumni were making us proud as well, working with the many of the fine Restaurants lined up at the event such as, Bread Street Kitchen by Gordon Ramsay, Giggle and Spice by Jenny Morris and Reza Mahammed, Nobu by Nobu Matsuhisa and many more. It was indeed a moment of a great get together, fun, laughter, music, some fantastic food in the midst of all the Hard work.
