Tuesday’s with Marco: Aniseed Style Smoothie

Aniseeds are delightfully fragrant due to their high concentration of anethole, an essential oil. Known to be an excellent source of minerals like iron, magnesium, calcium, manganese, zinc, potassium and copper. These minerals are essential to cardiac, bone and blood health and are needed by the body to turn food into energy.

 

Aniseed Style Smoothie

Ingredients and Quantities

  • 2 Golden delicious apples (cored)
  • 1 Fennel bulb
  • 100 g baby spinach
  • 1 Lime (peeled)
  • 1 Handfull of ice
  • 200 ml of fizzy Mineral water

Method of Preparation

  • Blitz everything together and serve in really chilled tall glasses. If you like your smoothies not as thick then just add more mineral water .
