Peach Cobbler




For the Peaches-

Fresh Peaches (peeled, sliced)- 8pcs

Brown sugar- ¼ cup

Castor sugar- ¼ cup

Cinnamon powder- ½  tsp

Nutmeg powder- ¼ tsp

Lemon Juice- 1 tsp

Cornstarch- 2 tsp

Salt- a pinch

For the batter-

All purpose flour- 1 cup

Castor sugar- ¼ cup

Brown sugar- ¼ cup

Baking powder- 1 tsp

Salt- ½ tsp

Butter (Cubed, chilled)- 6 tblsp

Boiling water- ¼ cup


Granulated sugar- 3 tbsp

Cinnamon powder- 1 tsp

To Serve:

Vanilla ice cream


  1. Preheat the oven to 180° Peel and slice the peaches and transfer to a medium mixing bowl.
  2. Add the sugars, cinnamon, nutmeg, lemon juice, cornstarch and salt. Using a spatula mix well until evenly combined. Transfer to an oven proof dish and bake for 10 mins
  3. In another mixing bowl add the flour, both the sugars, baking powder and salt. Add the butter and rub into the dry mixture using the spatula or your finger tips. Add the water until the breadcrumb mixture comes together to form a paste.
  4. Remove peaches from oven, and drop spoonfuls of batter over them. Sprinkle the entire cobbler with the sugar and cinnamon mixture. Bake until the top is golden which will take about 30 minutes.
  5. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream and garnish with a mint leaf.
